Clickbank Nickname Examples, Ideas, And Tips

You’re going to get much more than a few Clickbank nickname examples.

In fact, there are specific strategies when it comes to your Clickbank nickname.

Let’s talk about that now.

Clickbank Account Nickname Information: Everything That You Need To Know

clickbank nickname

Clickbank is a leading global retailer and affiliate marketplace. They have hundreds upon hundreds of affiliates for you to promote as an affiliate.

Did you know that there are advantages to using a specific Clickbank nickname?

I’ll admit that it’s not the hugest affiliate marketing strategy in the world.

However, there are scenarios where it can really benefit you or harm you.

So make sure that you choose the best username.

Oh and in case you were wondering, affiliate marketing is definitely NOT dead.

Related: Affiliate marketing is more alive than ever.

Just had to clear that up in case there was any confusion before we continued on.

There’s also one more thing that I want to answer before we move onto the examples.

What Is An Account Nickname For Clickbank?

There’s a lot of confusion when it comes to the topic of nicknames with Clickbank.

Let’s simplify the definition.

According to Clickbank themselves, your account nickname is used as:

  • Your unique identifier.
  • It also allows for all of your transactions to be accurately tracked.

All of the transactions can be related to your account (as a vendor or affiliate).

At the end of the day, it’s going to signal and tell Clickbank where to send the payments to.

It’s used in two different ways:

  1. Signing in to your account (as shown in the screenshot above).
  2. Sales materials like at the bottom of checkout pages after clicking your link.

When it comes to sales materials, that’s where the benefit can certainly come in handy.

I’ll be talking about that in the next section.

Lastly, there is some terminology confusion when it comes to Clickbank nicknames.

Here are some of the outdated terms when it comes to Clickbank nicknames:

  • CBID.
  • Vendor ID.
  • Affiliate ID.
  • Clickbank ID.

All these terms that I just listed above simply refer to a Clickbank nickname.

They just aren’t officially used anymore.

So let’s start by giving you a few examples of good Clickbank nicknames that you can use.

Then I can give you a few reasons why you’d want to use them or not.

Clickbank Nickname Examples, Strategies, And Ideas

After signing up for Clickbank, you’ll eventually need to pick a username.

Don’t worry, it’s not a very difficult process.

I’ve created a few sections when it comes to the type of username that you can use.

Each of them will also talk a little bit about the pros and cons of each.

Be sure to keep reading on as this is where it gets really good.

The Authoritative Affiliate

These usernames are generally going to be based around either your first name, last name, or a combination of both.

Let me ask you a few questions when it comes to being an affiliate:

  • Do you want to be a big name when it comes to affiliate marketing?
  • Do you want to make it easier to identify that people are going through your link?

If you said YES to any one of those questions above (or both)?

Then the authoritative affiliate nickname will be perfect for you.

I added a screenshot after clicking on Jeff’s affiliate link (he’s a well-known affiliate).

If you look at the screenshot, he added his first initial and last name.

Helpful Note: It’s located at the bottom of the screenshot that I added above.

So here are a few examples using my name for demonstration purposes:

  • jcanz
  • jamesc
  • jamescanz
  • canzanella
  • jcanzanella
  • jamescanzanella

Helpful Note: My full name is James Canzanella.

One More Helpful Note: Be sure to use your own name instead of mine 😛

I also want to bring up two more related points that I’ve mentioned before.

If you ask me, this is the most important part about using this type of nickname:

  • It allows your customers to see that they are purchasing through you.
  • This also allows you to make more sales in the process.

All you need to do is say something like this when someone goes through your link:

Once you get to the checkout page, scroll to the bottom and make sure that you see my name as the affiliate on the bottom of the page.

After all, you don’t want someone purchasing through someone else’s affiliate link.

Having your name in your Clickbank nickname makes it easier for them to confirm.

The Benefical Affiliate

These usernames are generally going to be based around a nickname is benefit enriched.

These types of nicknames don’t actually provide any type of benefit specifically.

However, they are words that you’d usually want to see when purchasing.

I looked through a few video reviews on YouTube and clicked through a few affiliate links.

In the screenshot above, you can see what I’m talking about: cheap202.

Helpful Note: The US1 after the nickname is simply the tracking ID.

Tracking ID’s are used so that you can determine where the sale came from.

Here are a few more examples of benefit enriched names:

  • best deal
  • best discount
  • saving money
  • coupons for you
  • getting the best deal

Helpful Note: Clickbank names are usually going to be all one word.

I just separated the words above so that it’s much easier for you to read.

You might even have a blog that’s based around getting the best deal.

Then some of these usernames would be even more relevant to what you’re offering.

Let’s look at one more section of usernames that you can pick from.

The Random Affiliate

These usernames are about as random as they come. Seriously.

There’s not a whole lot of rhyme or reason to these types of usernames.

You can pretty much pick a random word in the dictionary and use that if you want.

All in all, you’ll want to use a random username if:

  • You don’t care about leveraging your full name in your username.
  • You don’t plan on becoming a super-guru-authority master.
  • Lastly, you just want to get the process over with.

Here are some random examples of usernames that you could possibly use:

  • 500001
  • water life 80
  • turd furgeson
  • philadelphia steak

I think you get the idea that these usernames are about as random as possible.

You also might need some help when it comes to promoting specific offers on Clickbank.

However, most of them are freely available to promote in their marketplace.

For the ones where you need to request permission?

Feel free to read the article down below to get more guidance about that topic.

The article above is about JVZoo but it works for any affiliate marketplace.

Let’s now move to the conclusion of this article to wrap up everything we talked about.

Clickbank Nickname Examples: Closing Summary

clickbank nickname examples

Clickbank nickname summary. Stick with either a nickname that is similar to your name, is beneficial, or something completely random to quickly complete the process.

As you now know, there are a few strategies when it comes to choosing your nickname.

In fact, we discussed three different categories (or sections) that nicknames come from:

  • The Authoritative Affiliate.
  • The Beneficial Affiliate.
  • The Random Affiliate.

Just whatever it is that you do, make sure that you do what Clickbank recommends:

Choose an inoffensive nickname.

The last thing you want to do is lose customers because you picked a poor username.

That should be pretty obvious, but there’s always someone who will do it.

So that’s the information when it comes to a few great Clickbank nickname examples.

Keep in mind that Clickbank isn’t the only spot for affiliate offers.

  • Some of the best affiliate offers you have to find out on your own.
  • And some of the best affiliate offers are going to be pay to play.

An example of one of those offers is going to be Partner With Anthony:

And if you’d like to learn even more about that hot affiliate offer?
