So what are the biggest differences when it comes to tools like ClickFunnels vs Unbounce?

That’s what I will be covering in this post.

Aside from that, I’ll also be talking about:

  • Many of the features and perks of these software tools.
  • Both of the prices and how you can get a discount for each.
  • As will with what landing page builder that will help you the most.

Looking for a solid landing page marketing software?

Then let’s get right on into it.

ClickFunnels Vs Unbounce Introduction

clickfunnels vs unbounce

So, on the one hand, you have experienced landing page software: Unbounce.

  • Unbounce was founded back in August 2009.

Unbounce is all about creating high-converting landing pages that convert more visitors.

Then, on the other hand, you have a highly-popular tool which is called ClickFunnels.

  • ClickFunnels was founded in 2014.

ClickFunnels is all about quickly creating beautiful sales funnels that convert.

Between both of these landing page software tools, there’s a ton of features.

So I’m only going to focus on some of the biggest features of each software platform.

Let’s start with the essentials.

Testing Out Your Software Builder

This is an easy one and also a great place to start.

So do either of these tools allow you to test-drive them before making any payments?

Absolutely.

As you can see from the picture above…

ClickFunnels comes with a free 14-day trial where you can test out all of their features.

I’ve also got you covered if you need help with getting signed up with ClickFunnels.

Don’t worry, it takes less than 60 seconds to sign up for your free trial.

Helpful Post: The ClickFunnels free trial tutorial.

And then onto the other landing page builder below (Unbounce).

Unbounce happens to also come with an identical free 14-day trial to test them out.

But even better, they come with a slight discount as well.

This is good news because it allows you to see if you like what they have to offer.

So we’re pretty even when it comes to this software battle but things are about to change.

Creating Full Blown, High-Converting Sales Funnels & Marketing Campaigns

As mentioned earlier in the post:

  • Unbounce is all about creating high-converting landing pages.
  • ClickFunnels is all about quickly creating beautiful sales funnels.

This is the first biggest difference when it comes to these two software choices.

ClickFunnels is all about funnels and they do them really well.

First things first though, as you can create pretty much any type of sales funnel with ClickFunnels.

In the picture below you can see just a few funnels templates that you’re able to put together:

sales funnels

There are more sales funnel templates where those came from (I counted around 20).

Plus, you are always more than welcome to create your type of sales funnel from scratch.

And within any of the funnels that you create?

You have more opportunity to utilize helpful features such as:

  • Webinars.
  • Membership sites.
  • Checkout pages (with order bumps).
  • One-click upsell and downsell pages when utilizing credit cards.

I think you get the idea though.

ClickFunnels is all about high-converting funnels and they do them well.

Now.

Let’s take a look at a feature that both of these builders come equipped with.

Launching Landing Pages The Convert Highly

This will be the bulk of the comparison because both of these tools do this well.

  • ClickFunnels has a drag-and-drop editor.
  • Unbounce also has a drag-and-drop editor.

Note: You use the drag-and-drop editor whenever you create a landing page.

But in my opinion?

ClickFunnels has one of the simplest (and perhaps best) drag-and-drop editor on the market.

Maybe it’s because I have more experience with it.

However, I’ve tested many tools and still find ClickFunnels to have the lowest learning curve.

Here is an example landing page from using ClickFunnels on the inside:

clickfunnels drag and drop editor

If it looks like there’s not a lot going on with that landing page?

Well, you’re right.

  • Simply drop what you want to be placed on the page.
  • Change the font, size, color, or anything else.
  • Repeat the process.

These are usually the steps that it takes when it comes to using a drag-and-drop editor…

And ClickFunnels executes that process flawlessly.

Here’s a look at a landing page from the inside of the Unbounce drag and drop editor:

unbounce editor

Note: I had to minimize the screen slightly so that the picture wouldn’t be massive.

Anywho.

Their drag-and-drop builder isn’t all too bad as it pretty much follows the same process:

  • Drag and drop what you want to be placed on the page.
  • Change the font, size, color, or anything else.
  • Repeat the process.

I think that the Unbounce editor is pretty simple.

However.

I don’t think it’s as simple and smooth as ClickFunnels but your opinion might be different.

Helpful Note: This is why free trials are important (especially for testing out editors).

Here is another comparison when it comes to the department on the landing page topic.

Well Over One Hundred Templates

I’ve talked about this many times…

But having templates is one of the best ways to get a landing page up and running.

  1. Pick a template that you like.
  2. Edit around the headling and text.
  3. Perhaps you might want to add in a picture or two as well.

You’re then good to go.

This is what I do with my landing pages as I create templates and keep using them.

By doing so, it allows you to make minimal changes while making the process faster.

Here is an example ClickFunnels webinar template:

clickfunnels webinar template

It looks pretty professional, but another thing that I’ve said before:

How high a landing page converts is more important than how great it looks.

And here is an example Unbounce webinar template as well:

unbounce webinar template

I understand that it’s hard to compare based upon just two templates.

Nevertheless.

Regardless of which software you go with you’ll be getting 100+ templates…

And that’s always a good thing!

Let’s look at one more feature when it comes to the battle of Unbounce vs ClickFunnels.

Pop-Ups And The Super Sticky Bars

So here’s what I need to say about this feature comparison:

Unbounce definitely takes the cake (especially since CF doesn’t have sticky bars).

So when it comes to the ClickFunnels pop-up feature?

You can pretty much just utilize it when the user tries to exit the page (that’s when it triggers).

Picture down below as an example in the settings:

clickfunnels pop up

Now, on the other hand, you have Unbounce, where you can choose from:

  • Arrival trigger (when they first get there).
  • Delay trigger (wait a certain amount of time first).
  • On scroll (for example, once they start scrolling down).
  • On click (for example, they click on an important picture).
  • And lastly, they also feature the exit trigger just like ClickFunnels.

So Unbounce has more going on in this department.

Heck.

The other Unbounce alternative (ClickFunnels) doesn’t even come along with sticky bars…

So Unbounce is the easy winner when it comes to simply having sticky bars.

A Few More ClickFunnels Vs Unbounce Features For You

As I stated towards the beginning…

I was going to be focusing on the main features in this comparison post.

With that being said, here is a very quick summary of more features that you can expect.

100% Mobile Responsive

This is pretty much a staple of when it comes to creating any landing page nowadays…

But both ClickFunnels and Unbounce have beautiful looking mobile-optimized pages.

The picture below is an example of what an Unbounce mobile-optimized page looks like:

unbounce accelerated mobile page

But hold it right there…

As only Unbounce comes along with accelerated mobile pages.

These types of pages load up to 85% so they’re very helpful if you’ve got a need for speed.

This feature only comes along with the Unbounce Premium and Enterprise plans.

Cloning, Copying, Or Duplicating

Similar to using templates, you’ll be happy to know that both of these tools feature this.

  • Maybe you want to clone an entire funnel with ClickFunnels.
  • Or perhaps you want to clone and copy between pages with Unbounce.

Little features like this can help you save a good amount of time in the long run.

A B Testing

Yet another feature that is pretty much the standard when it comes to landing pages.

You’ll be happy to know that both software products allow A B testing.

Note: A B Testing is where you send traffic to 2 different pages and see what converts best.

Now.

Let’s move onto the comparison when it comes to the costs.

How Much Are These Landing Page Software Tools?

Let’s quickly go over that (I also did separate posts in case you need more information).

Unbounce:

  • Unbounce Essential is $99 per month.
  • Unbounce Premium is $199 per month.
  • Unbounce Enterprise starts at $499 monthly.

There is also the ability to pay annually which will save you money in the long-run.

Now onto the sales funnel builder.

ClickFunnels:

  • ClickFunnels Basic is $97 a month.
  • ClickFunnels Premium is $297 a month.

ClickFunnels also allows many different features based upon the plan you pick.

Similar to Unbounce, there is also a way to get a discount for paying more up-front.

Down below I will put a helpful post for you.

Related: Getting all of the pricing info for ClickFunnels.

So let’s compare the Unbounce Essential plan with ClickFunnels basic.

Unbounce

  • $99 per month.
  • 75 total published landing pages.
  • Your monthly traffic limit is 500,000.

ClickFunnels

  • $97 per month.
  • 100 total published pages.
  • Your monthly traffic limit is 20,000.

They are pretty darn close in terms of a comparison.

However, when it comes to your monthly traffic limit of 500,000 with Unbounce?

This certainly makes them a force to be reckoned with if you plan on doing volume.

Let’s move to the conclusion now.
