It’s a pretty simple definition.

So when Chet Holmes was first utilizing this strategy?

He had a magazine and he wanted to reach out to companies in order to get deals with them.

  • First, he created his Dream 100 list.
  • Then he started marketing aggressively to it.
  • Chet then sent big bulky packages in the mail to those he wanted to work with.
  • A few weeks after sending out mail, he would then contact the companies by phone.

He would then consistently repeat the process of sending out packages and making phone calls.

After 5 or 6 months, Chet finally got his first deal.

Then, the deals began to snow-ball, and after a little more than one year?

The results were amazing:

  • All of the top advertisers were now advertising in his magazine.
  • He went from being the lowest-revenue magazine to the top-revenue magazine.

Oh, and more more big benefit:

Sales doubled for at least 2 years after following this process.

How cool is that? Now, here is the good news for you.

You don’t have to send out packages and make phone calls.

After all, you most likely don’t run a magazine and aren’t looking for massive million-dollar deals.

You most likely aren’t looking to market your screenplay for a future movie (Chet did that too).

Although you can, if that’s your cup of tea.

There are plenty of ways to make this work for you and your business (online or offline).

Here is the first step to making this strategy work.

1) Identify And Create Your Dream 100 List

So you need to think about your industry and some of the bigger experts in it.

Think of it this way:

Who has the ability to drive a lot of traffic in your specific niche?

To many of fellow online marketing buddies, this can also be referred to as 100 affiliate partners.

Here are the 4 segments that Russell Brunson went after, and you can too:

  1. List owners.
  2. Bloggers.
  3. Podcasts.
  4. Social media.

List owners if first, because those who have a massive list?

Are able to quickly and easily send over a monumental amount of traffic.

As Russell Brunson said in the video above:

One “YES” from your Dream 100 can make you a million bucks.

So after you’ve created the segments for your list, start filling it out with the appropriate info.

The information that you’ll want to collect for each person:

  • Their name.
  • Their website.
  • Contact information.
  • And anything extra that you might want to include (social media profiles).

You don’t have to write down 100 people right away.

Just make sure that you have a good idea of the people that can really help you out.

In other words, you can always keep adding to it (in fact, the bigger the list the better).

2) Friend, Follow, Subscribe, & Buy Products

Yup, that’s quite a lot of actions that you’ll need to take.

However, you don’t want to make the mistake of just reaching out to them and saying:

You’re in my Dream 100 list, now promote my product and make a ton of money.

I’ve gotten quite a few emails like that in the past.

You want to get on their radar first before you ask for anything.

This can be done in a few ways, which includes:

  • Friending or following them on social media.
  • Liking and commenting on media that they post.
  • Buying what they offer and then actually getting results.

You don’t have to just buy one product, you can buy multiple products from their value ladder.

The last bullet-point is the most important one, and I know this because I’ve done it many times.

Heck, I wasn’t even looking to leverage a Dream 100 list at the time either.

The fact of the matter is this:

  • When you buy a product from someone on your Dream 100 list.
  • AND you get results with it?

You will have their full attention because they know that you aren’t a time-waster.

And Russell Brunson has previously stated:

People who pay, pay attention.

Now, let’s move onto the last step.

3) Start Getting In Front Of Them Even More

This is where your outreach can be done.

It’s up to you how you want to do your outreach as well:

  • Email.
  • Podcast.
  • Social media.
  • Sending a video.

Whatever it may be, this is the main point you want to keep in mind:

They should already know you when you reach out to them.

Rapport has already been built previously, and that’s quite a powerful tactic.
